Wordpress fantastico auto install problem?

Hi

Just trying to install a blog on my website hosted by namecheap. They have fantastico, so i am using that.
I pressed auto install filled in all the sections: username. passwords etc (do you put in new ones or use the ones i have with the hosting account?)

It all goes through ok and it gave me the address where the blog would be www.mysite.com/new-blog

However when i go to the wordpress log in page for my blog i cannot log in, additionally if i request the password it doesn't seem to do anything.

When you do the auto install does it automatically create a WP account for you, or should i have done this before hand or something?

Any advice greatly appreciated

Cheers

Pete

I was using SimpleScripts (vs. your fantastico) for WP install. Shorty after installation they sent me "Wordpress Access Information" email with login details.

I use namecheap to install WP blogs all the time.
I always fill in the form to have installation details emailed.
The WP password you create can be the same as the hosting password, but I usually create a new/different one.
