Hello, I'm new to web design and use Dreamweaver 8. Thank you for any guidance you may provide...I made a site and one line of html is not being recognized by IE 8 on one page only. The same line on the other pages in the site is recognized on the other pages in IE 8. The following is the code I'm using:

body {
background-color: #000000;
margin-left: 141px;
margin-top: 20px;
margin-right: 0px;
margin-bottom: 0px;
}

The line that IE 8 is not recognizing is the "margin-top: 20px;" If you need more information please let me know & I will provide. Thank you.

what is happening when you view the page? is it actualy displaying that line as text, or ignoring its attributes to the layout?

Mack.

I think it is ignoring its attributes to the layout. I've done some more research and have discovered that I'm not using tables appropriately and need more CSS...I can provide the URL (if that is allowed)...

I can provide the URL (if that is allowed)...

it wont be ..see tos ..specifically tos13.. [webmasterworld.com]

but if you can remove everything that might conflict with TOS 13 and post your "sanitized" html and your "likewise" css ..then most folks here will be glad to go through it and try to help you out :) if they can ..

btw ..Welcome to WebmasterWorld

Thank you. I'll rework the html & css and see if that solves the issue, which I think it will....
