Bing is better than google according to Hitwise Sgt_Kickaxe msg:4351188 5:04 pm on Aug 13, 2011 (gmt 0) [ ...] ibtimes.com
The results suggest that Yahoo and Bing (both are powered by the Bing search engine) are more effective at fetching the right results for users, which is the task of a search engine. Google is trying to be everything but a search engine of late, too much so?

"results suggest" is a real stretch. the difference in the reported numbers is very large - i'd like to know more about how they count a "search" and a "website visit"... we've seen YaBing do things like this: [ ...] rimmkaufman.com then there's this: [ ...] thenextweb.com mrguy msg:4351429 6:21 pm on Aug 14, 2011 (gmt 0)
Comparing the two, in my own experience Bing provides me the better search experience. To each their own. tangor msg:4351800 9:50 pm on Aug 15, 2011 (gmt 0)
I'm well into multi-years with Bing these days. The times I've had to turn to G for anything have diminished greatly... justrobin msg:4351826 10:36 pm on Aug 15, 2011 (gmt 0)
I like Yahoo and Bing for search results because they are direct to the point unlike Google which offers lot and tons of advertisements. However, if I am looking for pictures and videos, I prefer using Google. indyank msg:4351977 12:27 pm on Aug 16, 2011 (gmt 0)
Bing looks far better compared to Google this year, though they can still improve a lot. Will 2011 be the the start of the end of Google era? tangor msg:4352885 12:09 am on Aug 18, 2011 (gmt 0)
Are we looking for an "end" of Google or a better "balance" in Google (which is now facing some credible competition)?
