|Strange UK Results From Bing|
Are we in Europe?
I've just been testing my most important keyword1 keyword2 keyword3 in both Show All and Only From The United Kingdom.
All my sites are UK registered and UK hosted.
Show All and I'm #1 for my .com directory site and #2 for my .eu B & M site.
Only From the UK and I'm #1 for my .com directory site and no .eu site in sight anywhere!
Is Bing not aware that the UK is in the EU?
presumably behind the scenes they have associated .eu with euro ( as in currency ) and thus they read .eu as a €urozone site ..?
dumb ?..yes ..extremely dumb and totally without logic
plausible explanation?..well we've all scene how UAC works in vista :)
Could you please send a mail to bwmc at microsoft.com with your domain name and " EU geo targeting" in the subject line and we will work with you to debug the issue?

I hope you don't mind but I've just dropped you an email as I'm having similar problems although mine is getting mixed up some how with bing Mexico - email sent
did you contact MSN? or get a responce?

Yep and no response as yet however I had a check of all my keyword phrases and all of them were missing from the UK results.
I checked another .eu site and that has a similar problem therefore it is most probably a geo-targetting issue.
Pity since the results are looking very good and extremely fast.
