Google/Bing?
Exchanging info or strange bug?

Hi

I've just noticed some strange results popping up in our referrals report.

We pay for PPC with Google only so I was surprised to see a new Bing referral reporting on our referals report that we had paid PPC on Bing.

When I checked the referral from Bing the result was like this:

subdomain.oursite.co.uk/?paidclick=GoogleLocation

How on earth can Bing know about a Google PPC parameter?

Weird stuff.

Mick

I'm not technical, but is this due to Bing currently being a huge buyer of paid search traffic on Google AdWords? I'm seeing Bing everywhere in Google's paid listings right now.
