A client's site is ranking in MSN, and doing rather well. The problem is that their dotted quad address is what turns up, not the company's URL. Has this happened for anyone else? The site is created with Postnuke - I'm sure that has something to do with it, but I'm not finding a lot of information about it.
"Information" being, specifically, "this is how to fix you crapped up MSN listings if your site is built in Postnuke."

if MSN is finding your IP address then other search engines will be able to also. There are probably links either on your site or on some ones else's pointing to it.
You should if you have control of your server place a 301 (permanent) redirect from you ip address to your domain name this should be server wide meaning that the 000.000.000.000/directory/index.htm should redirect to www.example.com/directory/index.htm
if you don't have these permissions you'll need to speak to your hosting company and get them to place it for you, some companies will some won't unfortunately.
