The people at this board keep telling MSN that something is very broken, but nothing seems to change, and so further back they go...

"Google widened its lead over the competition by winning 58.5 percent of all U.S. searches last month, up 1.5 percentage points over September. Yahoo took second place with 22.9 percent of the search market, down from 23.7 percent, while third ranked Microsoft dropped to 9.7 percent from 10.3 percent."

For those of us who are actually pulling for more competition in the search arena, this is not good news.

Another statistic is discussed here:
[webmasterworld.com...]

The PCworld statistic you quote does not tell if the live.search bot-driven fake-referral-log-spam is included in these figures, or not.
[webmasterworld.com...]
If not explicitly excluded, the Microsoft figures may then be considered bloated and the real figures may be even lower.

Yes, the overall statistic is bad in regard of competition in the search arena. But log-spamming does not help either.

Kind regards,
R.
