Check to see if http://www.example.com/index.html (or whatever the filename for the root index page might be, is indexed. That can happen even without one link to the page like that and can cause the www.example.com/ to disappear.

Thanks Marcia for your reply. Yes the http://www.example.com/ and index.html both are indexed in MSN but not coming in MSN search results for same keywords which were on 1st page two week earlier. Inner pages are still on same positions (on 1st page) as before we changed nothing in our home page but still we lost it on MSN. When we search with our domain name 'example' our other sites 'example.us, example.net, example.info, example.org' all are coming in MSN SERPs but the 'example.com' not coming up only the inner pages are coming in MSN SERPs. Any other idea what’s going on?

Our site was number 1 in msn for a specific keyphrase. Just as in your case, around two weeks back it disappeared and is nowhere now.

Mini can you check your home page indexed or not in MSN. I ran a ranking report for the first 1000 search results for sepcific keywords and could not find any of my targeted keyword for home page coming up in MSN SERPs.

Yes, my homepage is indexed by msn.I looked up typing site:www.mysite.com in the msn search bar. The homepage showed up in the 5th position in the SERP. It was preceded and followed by other pages of the site.
