Anyone else experience incorrect amount of conversions tracked by Adcenter? Adcenter sometimes shows 4 conversions in an ad group for keyword X while the actual amount is 1.
With other CPC programs (Adwords, Yahoo) the conversions are always lower than the actual conversions. That makes sense because it is not always possible for a third party (Adwords, Yahoo, Adcenter etc) to track conversions. For example when cookies are disabled, visitor makes the conversion after a week etc. etc.
How is it possible that Adcenter is showing to many conversions for all my campaigns (as an affiliate I'm promoting different websites/products)? Please note, sometimes they are correct and sometimes they are incorrect (for the same ad group).
It looks like Adcenter is counting pageviews (incorrect method) instead of unique (correct method) visitors on the thank you page.

If the adcenter Conversion tracking is showing 4 instead of one, a work around that we have found is to place the adCenter tracking above any other tracking on the page. [snip] and they are placed on the page as they are listed, adCenter may inadvertently track all of them. If you place them with the adCenter at the top, this eliminates that concern.
I'm promoting a lot of products as an affiliate. So asking publishers to make changes to their website is not always an option.
If the above is indeed the problem (or a known problem) then is this not something tech team from Adcenter could solve?
Also note that the above problem occurs not always. So I have ad group X with same landing page and same thank you page for all keywords. One day I see 4 conversions for keyword Y while there is only 1. And another day I see 2 conversions while there is only 1. And another day later I see 1 conversion as it should be. So if multiple conversion tracking coded from other parties is the problem you would think you would always see more conversions in Adcenter.
One other alternately reason would be that our tracking will track for a period of time and if the searcher returns and makes another purchase it shows a conversion with no click.
Yes, but that is in this case I check my stats and see zero sales. 30 minutes later I check again and see 4 sales for keyword Y while there is only 1.
Anyway, thanks for the info. I will contact support about this.
