We had a phone call a few weeks back offering £75 for taking part in a 40 minute phone survey. We smelt a rat too. If the email isn't from a Microsoft address, I would be very wary.

Hi there, I can confirm that a 3rd party company, Sotech, is conducting a survey for us - if the mail is from Chad Law or references Sotech, it's legit. Thanks, adCenter411 [edited by: adCenter411 at 5:18 pm (utc) on Aug. 16, 2006]

A while back I tried completing an online survey from a company that MSN had hired, but on the final submit page I got a 500 Server error.

Thanks, ac411. Someone should alert the adcenter support team - I submitted the same question to them before posting here, and as of their reply to me 4 hours ago, they are still looking into it. Better yet, post something on the adcenter site about the survey. MSN doesn't really expect people to click a link on an email without checking it out, do they?!?! Anyway, I am off to have the most productive 6 minutes of my day... edit: Turns out the survey is now closed. So much for the productive part of my day.

I got it, but I think it had ended by the time I began. I know that I did not click on an email link though.
