How are you running multiple versions of IE?

sorry bill was talking about switching browser modes. It seems to work fine if i set it for browser mode ie9 and document mode ie7...but what stumps me is that this problem is only on the windows 7 platform all others are fine xp... vista...any ideas? what am i missing?

Ah. I worried you might have kludged together some sort of multi-IE setup.
I can't replicate that on any of my Windows 7 machines. If that were common to Windows 7 and IE I think there would have been a general uproar. ;) Does your laptop have any sort of web security or ad blocking software that might be interfering?

thanks bill....yes I have scoured the net and cannot find a solution...the only thing i can think of that has changed recently is that one of our designers uploaded allot of fonts to do some designing with in illustrator and photoshop....this bogged down the machine so i asked her to "hide" the font sets not being used...could the problem i am having be because a specific font that is needed in IE was added to the "hide" list...that is all i can think of that has changed...my add blockers and firewalls are the same as on other pc's...so nothing new here....thanks for your time

In Internet Options under the security zone that covers the site giving you problems, click the Custom level... button, then under Miscellaneous what is set for Launching programs and files in an IFRAME?

hi bill...yes i had messed around with that to see if it makes a difference...but no..it is set at "prompt" the recommended setting...I dont know what else to do...we are still looking at the font issue as that may have something to do with it...it is all that was done different..thanks

Hmmm...I'd try setting Launching programs and files in an IFRAME to Enable just to see if it had an impact. Another option would be to add the trouble site to your Trusted Sites under security to see if that might change anything.
If it was just fonts do you have an image backup you could restore that would let you see if that is the issue?
