i'm using Jplayer which is a Jquery audio/video player to embed files on pages.
I'm uploading video files .m4v and .ogv cos' seems that Jplayer supports only that kind of files (correct me if i'm wrong).

FF, Opera and Chrome work fine with ogv files, Safari needs m4v to play video, but what about IE7? Does it work with .mp4 only or..?

How can i get this player working on IE7 if the player don't support
mp4 and IE/ dont support m4v? I'm bit confused, if somebody can gimme a help i'll be very glad!

Could you do browser sniffing for the problematic versions and then serve them a different type of file?

Hi, yes, look at the js file: Here i'm showing also mp4 eventhough they
seems not to be supported by the player( i wonder why..)

ready: function () {
$(this).jPlayer("setMedia", {

mp4: "video/bike.mp4",
m4v: "video/bike.m4v",
ogv: "video/bike.ogv",
poster: "img/bike.png"
swfPath: "/js",
supplied: "mp4, m4v, ogv",
solution: "html, flash"
