Issue with IE 7
Top toolbar and address bar missing

Msg#: 4179777 posted 2:36 pm on Jul 31, 2010 (gmt 0)

This is really strange. Leave it to me to screw something up.

I have Google set as my home page. When I open IE7 the window immediately maximizes. No top bar, no status bar. Nothing. It is a true full window.

Interestingly enough, if I do a search and open the result in a new window, everything is restored. If I go back to google, I get the full window again.

It's early Saturday morning but I hope someone can help me out with this because it's really starting to piss me off.

You probably hit F11 by accident and the default is now set as maximized - hit F11 again when the window opens, close IE and reopen. Then upgrade to IE8. ;)
