Microsoft Wants Developers Using HTML5 and JavaScript For Office [zdnet.com]
Microsoft officials have made it clear that HTML5 and JavaScript are going to be key for developing for Windows 8. But Microsoft’s HTML5/JS love doesn’t stop there.

It turns out that HTML5 and JavaScript also are going to be key to Microsoft’s Office 15 programmability story.

This news has been floating around for a while. Apparently it has some Microsoft developers a bit miffed. They spent all their time learning proprietary MS systems and now they're changing.

I think this is the right direction though. Can you imaging copying and pasting from a Word document into a web page and not ending up with all of that awful formatting code?
