mount/unmount hard drive batch command?
How do you do it?

 10:25 pm on Dec 16, 2006 (gmt 0)

I can't find this answer anywhere, ss64.com, site search here, ms.

I want to mount/unmount a hard drive in a batch file.

I'm running windows 2000 on the box I want to do this on, it will be a scheduled nightly back up event.

The action in Windows is called 'disable/enable', it's what you do by going to system -> hardware -> device manager, disk drives - enable/disable

I know there has to be a way to script this action, but I just can't find it, something like net stop/start except for local drives.

Anybody know this one. I vaguely remember that there might be an addon batch drive management program that might do this job, but I can't remember what it is, but ideally it's the native stuff in windows 2000.
