Final Vista Test Released

 5:41 pm on Oct 9, 2006 (gmt 0)

Microsoft on Friday issued what it hopes will be the last public test version of Windows Vista, as it works to put the final program in the hands of some businesses by next month.

The company said Release Candidate 2 of the new operating system is being made available to its usual crop of technical testers and developers, as well as to some of the enthusiast consumers who are testing the earlier, RC1 version.

I look forward to the media center center features. Has anyone experimented with this OS as a Media Center? Has it been supported in the past releases?

Media centre was part of RC1. Media centre was one of the features that I was keen to test and I was a little bit let down by it. It seamed to be th emajor cause of my Vista problems. It seams very fragile and will crash with little or no push :)

That said it does look interesting and I am hopful that MS will address this issue.

My only problem with Vista has been my video card drivers for a 7800 GT by NVidia...NVidia has compatable Beta drivers...no problems since. I Dual Boot with XP.
