MS Word 2003
spell/grammar check not working after update

I am not sure if this can be posted here but I will try.

I installed the MS Office update recently and noticed that my Office 2003 is not doing a grammar and spell check anymore.

Is there a way to get this back?

The first place I would check:
Tools ¦ Options... ¦ Spelling & Grammar (tab)
Make sure that you have the Check spelling as you type and Check grammar as you type options checked.

Yup I do. It does not recognize it anymore lol.. very strange. I hope its not some kind of virus. It could also be the update I installed on Word that MS came out with the other day.. I have no idea!

Try deselecting those options, restart Word, and then reapply them.

When you manually spell check a document do the errors show up?

Yeah its gone somehow.. I am not sure how.. Never seen anything like this before
