I occasionally open some of our log files to read the user names of people that access a certain file on our Web site. One of the User names displays as "www.domain.com/username" rather than "username." Why does this happen? Most of the user names show up as "username." Robert Shields

Going to take a stab at this. www.domain.com/username <-- This entry was done by IE and your server is setup to use Digest Authentication. I remember reading something way back when about this and why it does it, but the the life of me I can't remember what the reason was or when it was wrote.
