The end of an incredible era. I owe most of what I have to the invention of the Macintosh. I never was that big of a geek years ago to want a pc.... but when I saw the first Mac, I bought it.

I have to say, I shed a tear or two when I heard this.
A truly great man, died far too young. It puts a massive perspective on my life and family.
Left an amazing legacy - a role model for us all.
I hope I can do the same in a much smaller way and make my kids proud.

He certainly was a genius. I remember a few weeks ago watching a debate between Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. It was incredible just how much respect each had for the other. Its a sad day.

I thought I was looking at an old post about Steve's retirement from Apple again, but then realized something wasn't right when I saw "was" in the sentence. Looked up and found out Steve has passed away. WTF! So sad to hear about his death. RIP Steve, it's been an honor to have seen your genius in real life. You will be remembered as one of the greatest pioneers in the history of computers.

Steve Jobs, Wozniak, Bill Gates and Paul Allen are one of a kind--love them or hate them. They did a lot of the dirty work, long before VCs would show up with $500 million checks for an idea.

He never gloated on his success in interviews and didn't opt in for any sort of media circus. I liked that about him. I was sad when I heard he stepped down from his post as the CEO of Apple. A lot sadder today to hear his death.

We are sorry to learn that the Co-founder of apple and many more innovations & creations Mr. Steve Jobs is no more alive. A few people like Steve will arrive in generations, who transformed our lives with visions, creativity, innovations & what not!
We condole on his untimely demise. Apple would never fulfill its vacuum without Steve Jobs.

I will miss his larger than life presence. I don't own a Mac but I certainly appreciate how much Steve influenced technology and am grateful to him for it.

I would not be where I am today without the vision of Steve Jobs. I also lost my own father to Pancreatic Cancer 2 years ago... Cancer Sucks.

And what a legacy it is. While I won't be so presumptuous as to say I'll miss you, since I didn't know you, I will say that I have no doubt that the world will miss out on your future creations that will now never be. If you're up there looking down on the tech world with a big ol' smile on your face, you earned it.
I'd love to see a link on the apple site asking for donations towards pancreatic cancer research. There is no better way to remember someone than to make a healthy contribution towards curing what shortened their life.
