My colleague Brad Stone just blogged about why he thinks Appleís iPad wonít kill the Kindle from Amazon.com.

I disagree. Yes, the iPad comes with its limitations. Thereís no camera, no SD card slot, no Adobe Flash technology. But when you look at iPad in comparison with other e-readers available today, it is now clearly the best device on the market for those who enjoy reading.

The Kindle is for book lovers, and the iPad is not.

I would say that tangible books are for book lovers. The Kindle and iPad can fight over the rest, but the majority of people will continue to read actual books than an electronic format.
