email this page - "mailto:?body=" in safari fran_lewis
I don't have access to a mac to try this out but I didn't think using:
mailto:?body=... would work on a mac..
last time i remember trying it just placed everything after the semi colon somewhere it didn't belong. Have spent a while googling it and whilst not getting a firm answer I get the impression that this will work..
Can anyone help me out on this?
Do you have a sample posted somewhere to check this?
If you can sticky mail me with the url, I will test it for you in Safari, Firefox and Opera... that should cover about 95% or so of the Mac market.
I tested this
<a href="mailto:?&subject=test&body=stuff here">Link</a>
in Safari, Firefox and Opera on the Mac and it worked fine.
I tested with Thunderbird first and then Mac Mail app as the default mail client, and both worked perfectly.
thanks so much for your offer, i'm only now checking to see if anyone replied. i would send you a url but as Luna C's answered it there's no need now.
thank you very much! you've really helped me out.
