Further verification from Google for places?

Our company recently opened up a new branch in a different city. After waiting over a month to get the postcard to verify, it finally arrived and the code input. The status of this listing has changed to pending - Being reviewed, and the info bubble says it can take several weeks.

The company itself isn't new, but the branch in this city is. We also have a second company at that same address, which has been established for years.

Has anyone else come across this? It is the first time I've seen it.

Thanks!

Thanks for the welcome :)

No, those help pages didn't address my issue - I should have mentioned that in my original post...

Hi Shelley, yes don't use that link as it will tie up support and you donít really need verification help. Your verification went through.

"Pending - Being reviewed" is currently the new normal after verification and can show for a few weeks.

The key is to do a Google maps search for phone or name and city to see if the listing shows up. (Which can take a week or so.) If it shows then the listing is fine and the pending flag in dash is just lagging. (Again that's normal.)

HOWEVER if you already have another business at that address then the pending review could be due to that. If the names or categories are similar Google could view it as one business and think you should only be allowed a single listing. Whether you can have 2 listings depends on a variety of factors and I could not really advise further without seeing them both.

Hope this helps and best of luck!
