Google Places Verification Process Questions - Changing Phone Number

I have #1-#3 rankings organic in Vancouver Canada for my moving company but have no Google Places yet.

So now I'm #10 or not even on first page...;(

Problem is I'm not physically in Canada now, but I have another mover running my business for me.

I could put his phone number on there but what if I want the business back on my return?

Would he need to approve the phone verification from his number or could I simply re-verify with my new phone number and my new address?

How does verification work?

What about these cases:

- You have a Google Places business and your cell phone gets stolen with the SIM card in it. Phone number is lost forever. Do you verify with new number or are you just screwed...

- You have a Google Places address and you move to a new location, do you verify by mail from old or new address?

- You have a Google Places phone number and you want to change it but you old number got disconnected for reasons out of your control, what then?

Thanks,

My site initially used a postcard verification but after I fell out inexplicably for "not verifying", I verified by mobile number. So you can change the method of verification.

What i have noticed that when you try to change the phone number (verified one), Google might block the phone verification option and would only show verify using postcard.
