It sounds like you're talking about regular keyword search results as opposed to the "7-pack" of local search results that can appear within keyword search under Google's Universal Search. It also does not sound like you're talking about rankings within Google Maps itself.
Perhaps your site was impacted by the "Mayday Update" which many have identified, which resulted in a loss of rankings for long-tail queries for some sites which Google deemed of "lower quality":
If your pages have fallen in rankings by many places, such as being pushed off page one and back a few pages, you've likely been penalized for something you've done.
If your pages have only fallen a little, you'd need to look at a great many other factors which could have caused you to lose some of your ranking.
If you've made no changes recently which would result in loss of rankings, you may need to work on developing more external links to point to your site.

Thanks for you reply. But I am talking about the 7 - pack of G.
Has anything changed on that front? There are sites which are up which were no where showing.

Penalizations can occur across an entire region/category of business as Google does its policing. For instance, if listings for a particular service in a particular city have become rife with spam, Google Maps could clean them all up at once.
The prime reason I assumed that you were NOT talking about the 7pack was that you mentioned "blogspot" -- Blogspot blogs typically are not showing up at all in Google Maps nor the associated 7pack.

Like Silvery I assumed you were talking organic. I analyze a TON of local rankings every day and have never seen a blogspot blog in the map listings and def not in the 7 pack on the 1st page.
Having said that, G does sometimes change the algo which can shake up the rankings.

Regarding Blogspot, I did entered blogspot address once for a very small local business in Maps and it did show up in the 7-pack (10-pack at that time) as the competition was too small.
However, now it does not come in 7-pack anymore.
