How can I perform a localized search from a different location?

Recently changed IP address and this one is apparently listed as being somewhere in Canada. They said they would fix it soon, but in the mean time, is there a way to see search results as I would it if I was located in a specific city? Can I do a search for plumbing and have Google display the results I would get if I did the search in, say, Chicago?

Thanks!

Also, you could view the search results through different HTTP proxies. There are a number of free and commercial proxies out there, so you could check through them and see what locality is associated with one before you use it to view Google SERPs.
