Hi, what do most people feel about companies offering a fixed price per click. You know, buy 40 clicks for $80 types of offer. Thanks.

Here's a thread from a few years back. [webmasterworld.com...] Fixed pricing is often good for simplicity, but can be bad value for businesses in less competitive locations. I have seen good deals on fixed price in the UK, I'm not so sure about value in the US. Fixed/Variable often comes down to the target audience, the higher the spend and IT literacy the less likely it is that fixed price will be offered/sold.
