zsh is better
Replace bash if you use the console at all.

I think I said it.

I just switched my shell from Bash to zsh and it is much better. Spelling correction, spelling correction in tab completion, suggest corrected command names, and expanded glob matching that I have not got to grips with yet.

Thanks for the hint graeme_p. I have taken the route sh->csh->ksh->bash in my history since I started with BSD in the eighties and have been too long on bash already.

One thing to be ware of are any shell scripts that are run on login or to setup a terminal. I had to edit one manually.
