I'm trying to install sphinx on my server but on my shared account, GCC access is denied.
do you know there's some way to install those things without using SSH or a compiler? Is there any way that i can just upload and run it ..just like other phps file?

Compiling it on another machine and copy the binary? Obviously you need the same OS (in a CM?) and you have to compile a binary that can be installed in a location you can write to.
It might be simpler just to use another host.
