I believe I created a directory by accident by pressing the tab key, so the directory name is 4 tab signs \t\t\t\t.

The dilemma is how to delete the file because you could not type the tab sign in command line.

Try this:

rmdir "^V^I^V^I^V^I^V^I"

Inside the quotes, press Ctrl-V Tab four times.

I tried to delete this folder using ConfigServer Explorer installed in my WHM. It causes a disaster to my server. It seems all files on my server have been erased! Now my server is down and probably all my data is gone. Technical support says he saw this before and it is created by a hacker. Indeed my server was recently compromised.
