hi,
I want to use scp command and transfer all the files of a particular date, then what command usage should make it work

scp date <ip address>:/usr/bin/ ?

I'm not so sure that what you've said works. I think you'd have to do some shell scripting that takes a directory list, grabs from it files modified during today's date, then creates a file list - then scp that over. It can be done, but seems cumbersome.

If you're looking to copy over just files that have bee changed today, then use rsync over ssh. What that will do is only copy over files that have been changed, keeping a duplicate copy on another server. That's not exactly what you asked for, but perhaps that's actually what you're looking for.
