Building domain authority

Over the years my experience to building domain authority has been building the highest quality links. From this I don't mean comments on authority sites or any type of link attributed to a person's name, I'm talking about quality PR, social media presences that work and links from relevant sites.

As DA increases new pages created on X site automatically rank higher because of the passing authority from the domain.

So my question is: If you have an established site and want your new pages to rank well, what would you do to increase domain authority?

Thanks

I think that you are probably already doing what you need to do to be seen as an authority; getting links from relevant sites.

The only other things I can think of are getting links from high authority sites that may not be related directly to your niche (i.e., a link from a NY Times article).

If it is an ecommerce site, then having things like your physical address and other contact info, as well as your privacy policy, accessible from the home page, might help give your site authority.

And although it probably has been reduced significantly lately, I still believe that having a keyword in the domain name is at least a bit of an authority signal to google.

But ultimately, if the CONTENT is unique and authoritative, then the quality of the content will help with creating authority.

-Build stellar content
-Use proper resource citation in the footer of researched data
-Allow users to share your content as easily as possible anywhere
-Develop and promote authorship for your domain / business
-Develop branding by establishing a well-connected content strategy for your business. (Brand hub)
-Develop local citations, if the business is local.
