Brand New to Forum / Introduction

Although new to this forum, however I have been a vigorous student/practitioner of SEO dating back to 1999. Since I'm not the type to hide behind an alias, my real name is Jason Hennessey and although originally from Long Island NY, Atlanta is where I call home today.
I'm really excited to be part of this forum. I was a virgin to Pubcon until last year (2011) and absolutely loved everything about it. I had a chance to meet some great people, talk SEO, and came home with some new tricks, tools, and strategies. In full disclosure, I' am also an active member of the SEObook community and have a lot of friends in there, including Aaron Wall. I look at it like this, you can never have enough education & knowledge, especially in such a dynamic field such as SEO!
To be completely honest the main reason why I decided to join this forum was to get access to one of most polished SEOs in the business, Martini Buster. I first heard him speak at SMX East and he was blowing me away with some of the advanced link building strategies he was sharing. I left NYC with a lot of notes, and from those notes, came higher rankings. After learning that he was the moderator of this link building forum, it was a no brainier to invest in a membership.
I'm really looking forward to building some new relationships, networking, and sharing and collecting new strategies and tips. I honestly think I can be a great asset to the group as I currently rank #1 on Google for some extremely competitive keywords, and have even ranked #1 for keywords such as "online poker" when doing the SEO for a popular poker site before the Feds decided to take down that industry about 9 months ago.
In any case - I just thought I would introduce myself before actively participating in the threads unannounced.
Thanks for having me!
- Jason Hennessey

Ooooooh, geez, nice post.
How much do I owe ya'?
But seriously, thanks for signing up and joining us. Especially since you're part of the Aaron Wall forum. Aaron is one of the most hardworking people in SEO, he's focused on offering the best information out there- the latest developments, tips that work in the real world, zero filler. I sincerely respect and recommend what he offers.
I look forward to your posts and hope to see you around more.

Ha! Money is no good here / Will work for tips (SEO tips) :)
Seriously looking forward to keeping current with the threads and learning from the tips that you deem ok to share collectively with the group. If some of the stuff is half as valuable as what you share on stage while presenting, then I will get my ROI in no time.

Welcome to the forum, Jason:
I would suggest the first thing you do is go to the Library Section of this forum, which is at [webmasterworld.com...]
and see if there are threads started by either martinibuster or by wheel, because you will find all sorts of great link building tips in them.

Awesome - Thanks for the tip.
Who is wheel?

"Pull all inbound links from any competitors from the top 3 inbound link metric tools. Reduce duplicates. Amalgamate results. Run using a simple api script through metrics tools for age, relevancy, pr and other metrics. Sort by strength."
You forget the extension of that:
- call the top 10 of those and offer them $ to replace the links to your competitors with a link to your site.
I like wheel already :)

You might possibly have met him at pubcon this last year.
