| Getting Links By Distributing Photos or Other Visual Media

Hi again, Everybody:
I have some photos from some specific sites in a foreign country that I want to share in exchange for links, and I would like to figure out a systematic way to get links from them. Does anybody have any experience doing this?
I am trying to avoid emailing webmasters individually and asking them if they want to use my images in exchange for a link.
And I believe if I use a photo gallery web site (like picassa or whatever), I won't be able to display the code for them to link back to me. But maybe I am wrong. (also, I worry if that might cause me to lose my copyright to those images as well).
Maybe there is some gallery software I could install on my site that would allow me to present the code they will need to copy on an image by image basis?
Anyone with experience doing something like this, would love to hear from you.
