msg:4226164 | 8:30 pm on Nov 3, 2010 (gmt 0) | or is it only text links? Basically, the image link will obviously not have anchor text, but is it still used and readable by search engines for internal link juice purposes? Also, if I put both an image link and a text link to the same place on a web page, is this penalised in anyway? For example, at the top of my site (ie the header), I have image links which says: Questions Articles How It Works Testimonials Site Map At the bottom of the page (ie the footer), I have text links which say: Terms And Conditions Privacy Policy Full Disclaimer Questions Articles Site Map Home Am I at a disadvantage since I have both image and text links to the same place? or is this perfectly okay? Thanks in advance

The "A" part of it means it's a link, regardless if it's an image link or a text link, it's still a link and counts as a link. The only thing different is that it does not have text to define the target of that link. Nevertheless, if you use ALT text then the search engines will take note of that ALT text and use that to add to it's understanding of what the page is about.
