Is getting linked to www.xyz.com/?val=red okay?
(as in not including /index.php)

As far as incoming links go, I want as much link juice as possible to go to: www.xyz.com/widget

That page is actually www.xyz.com/widget/index.php

My question is if someone lines to it within the index.php, and just /?val=red, does that give any benefit to the underlying directory rather instead of the index.php file. (it is the directory that is listed with the search engines, and not the file itself).

Also does writing URLs like this present any other problems, or is it acceptable?
