Best way to get links from news articles?
Ways of getting news sites to link back to the original website.

Hi guys.

We produce some news articles on our website and have a dedicated news section. What i've been doing is rewriting these articles so that they are about 10% different and submitting them to Press Release sites. It seems to be doing okay because they do get included in Google News and appears on the first page of Google SERPS as a news results for certain search terms.

I have recently noticed that our news articles are being published on other news sites and online magazines. My question is - how can i try and get these sites to link back to our site every time they use one of our news stories?

hmmm one of the ways is you can approach them ... is by contacting them ...
from the sound of it these news sites and online magazines are scraping ur news... because reputable companies usually refer you as the source or at least a mention. But on the other hand i would try to contact them and request a link

Thanks for the reply. I have thought of contacting them but they don't seem to be linking back to any other sites either so I reckon they will not link back to ours and simply remove the articles. I don't particularly want this to happen.

Is there anything I can do on my news pages on my website to let people know about the rules for using our content?

What is the law on this?
