2 Specific Link Building Questions

I'm pretty new to link building and I have 2 questions.

1. Which article directories/article submit services are the best to use to get my articles and links in front of people? Which directories are best for sending out link bait articles?

2. Do sites that have the reciprocal link function work for SEO? Will it hurt my site to do this?

1. Just search for "article directory" in google and pick up the first 10 -20 article directories...they are usually the strongest and the most relevant... There are also quite a few lists of article directories out there so have a look...

2. I wouldn't bother with sites asking for reciprocal links - you should focus on getting quality and relevant one way backlinks.

Hope this helps...

Those are shortcuts and they both can lead to low quality links. Check out our link building library [webmasterworld.com] for tips on how to expand your link building activities.

at this time, this forum can't accomodate promotion of specific directories. There are too many and it will only invite drive-by link drops if we allow mentions of specific directories. The alternative would be unfair to allow the mention of the more established directories and disallow recommendations of up and coming ones.
