| Can't see some of my external links

msg:3998442 | 11:52 am on Sep 30, 2009 (gmt 0) | A few days ago I've posted some links to my sites in various forums(and thankfully,those links are still there).However, for some reason I don't see some of those links neither in my cpanel in "links from external sites",nor in my SEO toolbar(that uses Yahoo),although I clicked on all of them.Could it be that for some reason some of the links I've posted "don't count",or is it just a matter of time till they appear?

Backlinks reported by search engines do not necessarily mean they are counted by the algorithm, either 100%, partially, or at all. 3. The backlink counts aren't generally updated that quickly The best way to determine the efficacy of a link is if your ranking bounces around within a week or so. But don't worry about how good your acquisition is, just keep moving.

msg:4003469 | 4:47 am on Oct 8, 2009 (gmt 0) | Its a good idea to check/analyze the SEO value of the page where you have posted your link; Whether its crawled/indexed or not and if at all that page is crawlable/indexable by search engine robots In addition look-up if your link is nofollow or dofollow. If all is well, then as suggested by martinibuster -- it takes time for newly acquired links to show up as backlinks. Hope that helps!
