Hi all I have a website with a decent url however it does not rank well (basically have not had the time to develop content for it) I would like to redirect to an exsiting url that does well in the rankings...will this hurt me in the rankings of the established site?
It will do little benefit but it will not hurt the established site.
You have to be sure you want to call it a day with the other site though. Are you sure you won't want to develop a good URL? it really depends how 'good' this URL is. If its not worth bothering over then by all means redirect it.
