After I find more and more sites with many small icons to social bookmarking sites, I looked for it in wikipedia.

There was a link to the 30 top social bookmarking sites.

I searched them in my total referer statisitic.
About half of the 30 sites delivered in the past between 10 and 70 visitors. This at a total near 5 million.

Now I just ask myself, should I invest 1 or 2 days to implement social bookmarking services on all my sites?

What traffic is to expect from this?

I was wondering if there is a program or widget anywhere that installs them all at once.

These are really simple to install if you're running any blogging software. There are numerous plugins available for WP that add the links for social sites automatically. There is also [addthis.com...] that can do the entire scripting job for you for non blog pages.

Thanks!

I decided for [addthis.com...] to avoid longer load times by many differend icons.

I optimized also the code.

Instead of loading the javascript from addthis.com,
I integrated the function into my own javascript. Just around 400 byte.

So I have now this with an absolut minimum of additional load time

Now I have this installed since 30 hours.

In this time, about 3500 visitors used the service 1 time.

jetteroheller - eh? i dont get what your saying..3500 new visitors in 30 hours or only 1 out of 3500 visitors used the social bookmarking to get your site? or something completely different..

The more tech-oriented your audience the more they'll use the button.
