Links to pages with noindex tag
Do they add value to the site?

I have some dynamic forum pages tagged with a noindex tag to help prevent duplicate content indexing issues.

Sometimes I've noticed that other sites have linked to the noindex version of the page, rather than to the version of the page that I would ideally like them to link to.

There is little I can do about this. However, I would be interested to know if the backlink value is still relevent.

Any thoughts?

what I have seen is that If there is a NoIndex, it will definitely not support the rankings in SEO atleast in Google. But see if that pages are driving you any kind of traffic so that you can get some traffic to your site.

I have seen that with Noindex, yahoo site explorer will be showing it as a back link but not google.
