I'm interested in gathering variables to measure the competition for a keyword on any given search engine in its most general sense, i.e. organic and advert results combined. The resultant competition score will be arbitrary based on what data I can get.
The variables mentioned here would be useful to me, but I see that this particular adwords API function is 'sunset' [adwordsapi.blogspot.com...]
- Search volumes - Cost per click - Adwords arbitrary 'competition score' - 'power' of Top 10 results (keywords in title / #links and their power / pagerank / ranking for other well known terms
I guess my question is two fold. Does the adwords API still provide similar variables to those in the link? And are there other services out there that can provide similar metrics, preferably from source data rather than a reseller. Free or paying, either is good.
Hitwise is an option but I'm looking for other avenues.
