since when does one have to sign up for using Google-Keyword-Tool? Targa msg:3921775 3:36 pm on May 28, 2009 (gmt 0) hi folks,
i am totally new to internet marketing.
am i mistaking or does google not offer anymore the keyword search tool with out signing up for an account first?
i mean just a month ago i got results of my entered keywords right after hitting the "keyword-tool" button,
but now, i only get the notification that my session has expired and to sign in again :(.
i never signed up before and it worked till now. why not anymore?
is anyone familiar with this? i mean i googled this problem but i seem to be alone.
does anyone here share this experience?
thanks from mike

Welcome to WebmasterWorld!
As far as I know you need to have an account before you can access their tools.
BTW - this is not really an ecom topic but I'll let it stay here for a bit longer to see what develops.

i really believe a few weeks ago i was still able to use the so called "external" keyword tool for keyword searches without having to login.
google must have changed that.
or is there some similar hidden site or tool from Google for non members that i just can't find anymore?

I think to use Google's tools you always had to login...they are all with the Webmaster Tools and Adwords stuff.
However, most stat programs will give you a similar breakdown of what keywords people use to access your site, where you are getting your traffic and all that, and most servers are equipped with at least one stat program...
using the url you provided above, I just successfully performed a keyword generation search without logging into my google account...do you have your flash and other plugins up to date?
