Keyword optimization and results

I have a relatively new website, (around a year old) and I would like to perform keyword optimization for some pages. If I do that for a specific page, how long should I wait until I can see the results in Google? Is there a given amount of time that it takes Google to re-index a given page? I know that there is no fixed amount of time, but maybe from experience you could give me a rough estimate...

Thanks

Hi, term099. About six weeks is average for me, but you're right, it does depend on the site!

Hello term009,

For my site, about 10 days to 2 weeks.

Google crawls my site's homepage every 5-6 days. To look up crawl statistics I refer:

[google.com...] ------->Webmaster tools (including Sitemaps)---------->Login with my google account---------->enter my site's name.

Though I had to copy and paste a brief code in the meta tags of my site.
