I think what you're looking for is an image slider and there are quite a few available.
Tripwire recently published a list of 60+ sliders, maybe one of them will suit your needs.

Thanks incrediBILL, but actually I think its more of a lightbox I am after, that also contains thumbnails.

There are several sites with lists of top 10 to 30 jquery lightbox plugins but I don't have them off the top of my head. You should be able to locate them easily.
