Single Field Validation

Msg#: 4368962 posted 12:36 am on Sep 30, 2011 (gmt 0)

Firstly, although I know there is another thread [webmasterworld.com] addressing this issue, i tried that suggested resolution but it didn't work.

Secondly, i'm a virgin phper so please bear with me.

And lastly, i need help!

OK so, i've recently installed a guestbook [cmafit.co.cc] on my site where i have one issue that the originators won't help me with.

The issue is validating the Image Title field to ensure feedback isn't submitted until the image title is entered. I did get as far as my customised error message coming up but unfortunately, even if the image title WAS entered, the same error message would reappear.

I've since ftp'ed the original php file so visitors can submit feedback but my tweaking of the guestbook original php files, in effect, negates the last few days of effort spent to get as far as i did so i'm at my wits end.

Would someone pls have a look at source script and tell me what code is missing where ie the gbook.php and/or sign.form.php.

Thanx so much in advance.

btw, below is the code that partially worked in gbook.php but i've since removed it so visitors can submit feedback in the interim (without the image title):

if (empty($ititle))
$error_buffer .= $lang['e06'].'<br class="clear" />';
