Simply change the min, max and steps in the jquery ui slider widget:
min: 1,
max: 5,
step: 1,

But is it customizable? I mean can we use an png/gif arrow image for sliding and some other straight line image as a sliding base to look it visually rich. - Vicky....

Anything can be customized ;) jQuery UI always has a Theming tab that you can review. I would start there.

BTW I need this to work on an ipad. Any pointers? How we make sure that my stuff will work on an ipad I don't have one to test it. I guess if the site is designed with 960px width it may render well on an ipad ~ Vicky
