Best Platform for Autosuggest?

5+ Year Member

I am beginning to plan for an autosuggest feature to be added to my search box. I need to incorporate a very large database of approximately 500,000 possible entries.

Can you suggest the best script / platform. I have looked at free ones that seem quite nice, but also don't mind paying if there is a commercial application that is faster.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Any autocomplete script should be able to handle any size database, as long as you have the proper indexes set on the fields you use in your autocomplete.

Generally speaking, I'd recommend using one that uses the same javascript library you are already using. If you aren't using one yet, then any library that has the features you need should be sufficient. :)
