Script to call a changeable url within an iFrame?

I'm a coding newb with very little experience so be gentle. :)

I need to call a page that contains a left nav and header that contains an area to pull in an iframe url. The iframe url needs to change without changing the orginal page based on the call.

In effect I need a static page who's content in the iframe can change based on a url.

Is there a script already written to accomplish this?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Michael
