Run across a version that doesn't require a database?

I have looked high and low for an EIP that doesn't use a database, but saves directly to the page. Has anyone run across something like this? Or know how to modify an EIP that is currently available to do so?

I don't have the luxury of running a huge number of potentially simultaneous database interactions. I don't need to have absolute control of data, so something that never saves to database would be perfect.

To my knowledge, nothing like that exists.
